Japan is one of the most unforgettable travel destinations where we have ever visited. It is unique, different and in some ways, just a little bit crazy too. There is something to see and do for absolutely everyone!
You could easily spend weeks in Tokyo alone and still discover somethings new every single day. But we also fell in love with both, Kyoto and Nara.
Japan is full of historical sites, breathtaking nature and buzzing city life. The local culture pulls you in quickly and it is hard not to be completely fascinated by it.
One of the best ways to explore Japan is by using its massive train and metro network. At first, getting around felt a bit confusing but we quickly figured out which trains took us where.
If you are planning to travel more widely outside Tokyo, it is definitely worth looking into getting a JR Rail Pass.
Japan is also an amazing destination for families with kids. People are incredibly friendly and helpful, and the country is extremely safe. We kept stumbling upon fun things for kids no matter where we went. It didn’t take long for Japan to become our oldest daughter’s favorite travel destination!
